Happy Monday!

Over the weekend, Paolo and I did a little bit of exploring a cute downtown (the waterfall, unfortunately was not downtown). As I got dressed into my favorite summer dress (that I have owned for years) I was inspired for this post. Why does it have to be my favorite summer dress … why can’t it be my favorite every season dress? So here are my tips how to transition you favorite summer dress into your favorite fall dress.

Step 1 : add a scarf with a with a fun print and great fall colors. Step 2 : pick a color from the scarf to accessorize, I chose brown, now add a belt, tucking in the scarf. Step 3 : add a great pair of shoes in the chosen color, a hue, slightly different from the belt, but not too far off. Step 4 : add a leather jacket that compliments the colors of the scarf. There you have it, a great fall look using your favorite summer dress. I just love how a dress (last photo) can be transformed with a few easy steps!

What are your tips?

The scarf was the perfect compliment to that dress and I love how you styled it! Looks like it was meant to be there! Great tips! A leather jacket would also be perfect for this look! I love pieces that can be worn in so many seasons! Great post!

Ohh I love how you added the scarf! At first glance, I thought it was part of the dress! I love how you added the belt, too! Beautiful 🙂

I thought this dress was part of the dress! It goes perfectly with it! I also tend to add a jean or army green jacket if it is too warm for leather.

Lovely dress! It looks good on you! But yes I agree, a leather jacket helps makes a dress more Fall-y and also a blue jean jacket! I’m not a huge scarf person but those work too@
