Good Monday Friends!
Have you ever wondered how to turn a ‘dinner dress’ into a ‘casual dress’? I am sure this is not your first thought every morning, I know it sure isn’t mine! However, a few days ago I was in this exact situation! As I was getting dressed for an event, I was drawn to this dress but I had already labeled it as a ‘dinner date dress’ so I was struggling to style it perfectly. Now, what is perfect for me, may not be perfect for you. A ‘perfect styling’ is one that creates confidence for each unique personality. I was determined to wear this dress so I added a chic floral crop top and off-white espardrille wedges to tone down the look. I wanted to add a little glam so I tied on a gold braided belt and clasped a gorgeous cluster necklace. Voila … a dinner dress goes casually chic!
In the future, if ever in this situation my advice is to try adding : a crop tee/sweater ; casual wedges ; & a bit of glitz to tie it all together. What are you tips and tricks?

Monique you did a great job making this dress casual. Great idea to put the crop top over it. The dress, necklace and shoes are too cute. I love taking dressy dresses and making them feel more casual, which I did in today’s post also if you want to take a peek.
Have a great last week of August. <3 Ada.
Thank you Ada! I can’t wait to check out your style too!
Cheers!
