Winter is coming … is your closet ready? It might be  to soon for a ‘Winter is coming’ line, but my closet is ready thanks to Charles River [and I can’t wait for April and GOT to get here!].

Here in Georgia, P and I have grown accustomed to warmer winters; it didn’t take long for our blood to thin from our midwestern up-bringing. Although, we are still perfecting the art of building a closet suitable for both the south and the north [since we travel home as often as possible].

BUT … We have finally found the perfect winter sweater to take us from the south to the north. These Charles River Heather pullovers are perfect to wear with a scarf and vest as outerwear in the warmer states but also layer perfectly with a flannel button down for an evening playing darts and shooting pool in a northern basement.

I have mentioned before how important it is to build a functional-timeless closet to avoid clothing clutter and save your budget. If P and I had to maintain wardrobes for both the north and the south, not only would he kill me for having too many clothes, but saving for the future would be impossible.

One of my professors once said, save for the life you want and live the life you can afford. They go hand in hand, in order to save, you will have less disposable income, which will lower the amount you can afford in the present.
