Smoothies are a great way to sneak in a meal on the go and can be full of vital nutrients. With the endless possible ingredient combinations, making a smoothie can really get your creative juices flowing. Even those of you who don’t crave being creative, mixing and matching ingredients to make your favorite foods in smoothie form can release your inner kid. Just be prepared, your recipe may be a flop (I know I have had my fair share of sub par creations).

Last week, as my husband and I were experimenting with our afternoon smoothies, we decided to make one of our favorite desserts, cheesecake. After a few iterations, we found the perfect combination to make an Acai Macadamia Cheesecake Smoothie. Our food lifestyle focuses on eating a low amount of Carbs, so we used ACAI Protein Packs, but blueberries and raspberries are great substitutes. We also love to use Organic Agave Five because it only has 1 Carb (5 total calories) per serving. Agave packs a sweet punch, so using the entire serving size is quite rare when looking to add a bit of sweetness to any recipe. If you are looking for a powerful blender that will last, we recommend a Blendtec. We make everything from smoothies to soup to cauliflower florets in it and it has an 8 year warranty!

ENJOY!

Thank you Sara! Absolutely! I use a Nikon D3300. The majority of my pictures are shot with this lens. Let me know if you have any other questions!
