TGIF Lovelies! I am guilty of scrolling through Pinterest and falling in love with all of the creative nail art ideas. Some of the designs are so unique and creative I want to recreate them … but then I remember I have to go to work the next day. So, I have created 3 chic office appropriate nail designs!
Supplies You Will Need:

Leopard:
I am sure some of you may be thinking Leopard Nails in the office?! And normally I would say … NO… DON’T DO IT … but, I am quite literally obsessed with leopard, so I had to figure out a way to make it chic enough that it doesn’t grab everyones attention during my office meetings!
THE RULES :
Paint only one accent finger {I gravitate to the ring finger because it is delicate and creates a feminine touch}. Use a muted base color that won’t draw too much attention {such as light grey / lilac / blush}. For the accent finger leopard print, use a complimentary color and a bit of sparkle {gold or silver}. For my look I chose a rich plum and silver.
Sparkles & Stripes:
I have seen a lot of super cute nail designs with stripes and always wondered how they made the lines so perfectly … well … nail tape is the answer! I have linked a multi pack above in the ‘Supplies You Will Need’ section, which is what I purchased. Or you can browse Etsy / Amazon by searching ‘Nail Tape’.
THE RULES :
For a 10 finger design, keep the colors muted and similar. I chose grey, silver, and iridescent sparkle. First, paint your base and usual 2 coats of color. Once dry, start the nail tape. I like to line up the end of the tape on my nail, pull it over, and then cut. I do one row at a time cutting each to the desired length. Next, I painted on the sparkles and finally the top coat.
**Hint** It is important to let the 2 coats of color dry 100% before taping. When applying the nail tape, cut it a bit short of your nail end, this way the top coat will cover it completely and prevent un-wanted fraying. Also, apply a few extra top coats to any nails with tape to ensure they are covered completely.
THE RULES :
If you want a bold color for the holidays like this gorgeous red, keep the design to 1 accent nail. After you have painted your base and usual 2 coats of color, let the nail dry 100%. Once dry, lay tape across the middle of the accent nail and cut the tape {hints and tricks on cutting/laying tape above}. The next step is to apply sparkle below the tape on the accent nail. If the sparkle isn’t panting to your desire, use a toothpick to fish a few ‘sparkles’ out and place them on your nail. The final step is to paint a top coat {or two} to keep everything in place. The final product is a chic holiday ready design!
