The Perfect Mix of Casual and Chic

Casual and Chic

It was lust at first sight, and love at first style. Yes, I am talking about this shirt. I am absolutely smitten with this tee … and look! The top’s front is a grey cotton-tee and the front-bottom and entire back is navy and white synthetic silk. I personally feel like it is the perfect mix of casual and chic … which is right up my alley.

Last Friday, as I was rushing to get ready for work {I was conducting a training for new hires and I was running about 15 minutes late} I saw this shirt on my dresser and put it on. Then, in a game time decision I tossed on this white blazer {to keep the look professional} and favorite navy booties {I promise I’ll stop wearing these in every post!}. To accessorize, I cuffed my jeans {to add contrast and to break up the navy booties and jeans} and added a simple long necklace. I added a dash of lipstick and I was out the door. If I could, I would wear this outfit every Friday to work, that is how much I love it!

I love that the dots are a little messy. A messy dot is so much more chic than a regular round dot, right? (I don’t think I’ve ever sounded more like a blogger than I did just then…)

You look so pretty! I love the navy blue booties and the light blazer and dotted top. You’ve styled this to perfection. I’m totally with the commenter above–anytime I can style polka dots is a good day in my book. Ha!
