Recently I was strolling through a department store and saw a perfectly overpriced nautical rope coaster. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was my next DIY. So,I headed to my neighborhood Michael’s and picked up a few products to make my very own Nautical Rope Coaster Set.
W H A T Y O U N E E D :
- 2 Round Ceramic Coasters
- Mod Podge
- Rope {contrasting colors if you choose}
- Tacky Glue
- Paint
- Foam Brush
- Scissors

1) Paint around the outside of the ceramic coaster
2) Tightly coil the rope & place a glue dot on the center of the coaster
3) Place the coil on the glue and glue around the rope coil
4) Wrap the rope around the coil until the glue is gone {repeat}
5) Upon reaching the edge of the coaster, glue the final coil
6) Cut the rope where the glue ends
7) Repeat the coiling and gluing process on the other side
8) Seal the ends of the rope with Mod Podge to prevent fraying
