IF you are anything like me, you live in your favorite chambray top. So, when I found this baroque top from Anthropologie it was a no brainer, because #1 – it is extremely comfortable and #2 – it was on sale.
9 to 5 Chambray
What I didn’t know when I purchased it was how to make it work appropriate. As I pondered how to style the perfect 9 to 5 chambray look, I thought about my clients work-sphere. Their culture is traditional {for example – they don’t have Denim Fridays} so I decided style my top with a classic black midi pencil skirt and nude pumps {which are extremely comfortable – they are my airport heels!}. I wanted to add a bit more of my personality, so I polished this 9 t0 5 chambray look off with a leopard belt.
Not only do I love mixing casual and business pieces together, I love when an outfit transitions seamlessly to happy hour drinks. A few simple ways to change up this look for after work cocktails :
1. Add a pair of Bright / Patterned Pumps
2. Change into a pair of your most flattering skinny jeans {white is a great option}
3. Add a statement necklace and bold red lip
